Fin's First Birthday!

Today is our nephew Griffin's first birthday party. Yesterday was his true birthday but this evening was his party. It was so much fun to see him, he is walking really well and is a ball of smiles. He had a blast watching everyone opening his presents and eating his yummy cake. What fun.... Fin you have been through a lot this year and it has been fun to watch you grow into a handsome little man. I love you! Happy birthday little man.

Christmas Party....

On Thursday was my christmas party with the daycare kids. It was a blast. We had a couple parents come and enjoy the kids opening all there gifts. I love seeing all of them light up to get something special for them. We started everything off with snack... of course it couldn't be normal so we had rice crispies, cake and red juice. Good thing I did this close to when most of them were going home.... smart on my part. Then we headed over to the living room and the kids went crazy. I got each of the kids a game this year. Something that they could do for the week that I would be on vacation with there mommies and daddies. The littlest guys got something else since they were not able to play games yet. They would only eat the pieces. It was amazing to see how much fun each one of them had. Merry Christmas super kids!!!

I was also touched by many daycare parents this year.... I have been kind of down (weather, time of year) lately. Feeling like I haven't been the best I could be. I had wonderful parents let me know in many different ways how special I was to them. Man it totally made my day. Thank you to all of my daycare parents for making me feel so special and letting me spend time with your children... I love each one of them as my own.

Later in the evening I watched H and Z for there parents so they could go and finish christmas shopping. K brought us pizza for the evening. That way I didn't have to leave our house to get anything. After the craziness of the afternoon I was glad for that. Jonas and Z are the same age and Miranda and H are the same age. We ate pizza, gave the girls a bath and let the boys start to watch Home Alone. What a great movie. The kids loved it. It was a blast to hang out with them and I know the kids enjoyed it.

This next week is going to be a fast one but we are looking forward to spending time with family and friends....

My daughter....

So christmas this year has been totally interesting.... Miranda is in to it this year. She understands what presents are and what we get to do on Christmas morning. Well at least she thinks that anytime that there is a present it is for her and she should open it. Well a couple of days ago my Aunt Barbara sent presents to the kids for christmas. As I normally do I put them under the tree. The next thing that I knew it was open and paper was all over. WHAT! So I quickly took the present and put it away so that I could rewrap it. Silly girl. Then yesterday we took the kids to by presents for each other. It was a lot of fun. Jonas was set out to find the perfect gift for his sister. And boy did he. I tried to hide the present but Miranda must have eagle eyes. She found it and was so excited about getting a new dolly. Crazy girl. Last night Josh wrapped all my daycare presents for the party tomorrow. This morning I took all the presents and put them in a box and put them in my bed room. Well guess who found them... you guessed it. My sweet little girl found them and opened half of them. Fun. So this evening I will be wrapping again and putting them in the garage somewhere she isn't able to get to with out me.

To all those parents out there with similar experiences. I totally understand now....

SNOW!

Last night we went to bed as normal, I was awoken by to cute kids that advised me that it had snowed. Miranda was ready to get her shoes on (mind you in her pj's) and get out in that snow. It wasn't much and by the time we got out of church it was gone. Which made Jonas very sad and he wanted more to come. Well he got his wish. I went to my parents house this evening to clean. And while talking with my parents my mom said it was snowing. Sure enough it was. It snowed pretty hard until about 8 this evening. Which now we have a good amount of snow for Jonas and Miranda to play in. When I was little I can remember getting up and seeing the snow and wanting to play in it. Now I don't much care for it. It just is cold and no one wants to drive and means for a full house for me. This week is to be really cold here. So makes for a long week then Josh and I have a full week off together. I think Jonas is looking forward to having his mommy and daddy to himself for a full week. Yeah! We have a pretty full week with christmas and all but it will be nice to have a couple of days to just relax and get some things done before the festivities.

Well really I should be sound asleep right now...so back I go to do more of it......

Dad's 50th Birthday!

Yesterday was my dad's 50th birthday. In the morning the kids and I called and each one of them they did there rendition of HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Jonas's was very long and had something in there about a special grandpa and Miranda's was HAPPY DAY to grandpa. Both kids love there grandpa. Well dad you are offically old! It is very because when ever I tell people that my dad is turning 50 they said "really?" They all can't believe that my parents are really young. They just started early. This is one of my favorite pictures. My dad looks so proud to be a daddy. And I am so proud that he is my daddy. I love you dad and Jonas, Miranda and Josh and I are so lucky that you are in our life. We love you and hope you had a nice day!

Biggest Nerd!

So today I was sitting writing and email and realized I totally spaced my mother in-laws birthday. We went to Eugene last weekend to celebrate Thanksgiving and to watch the Polar Express with her but I totally forgot to bring her birthday present. I totally ment to bring it because I knew we weren't going to make it down there on her birthday. WOW! I feel aweful right now. So this is a belated birthday wish! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA! We hope that you had a wonderful day! We love you!

Thanksgiving/ Black Friday!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone had a wonderful day of food and family. I know we did. We went to my parents house for turkey dinner. In the morning I was going to go and get the paper/ ads but I didn't sleep well that night so @ 6 am Josh woke me up to let me know what time it was. I responded with if you really loved me you would go get my paper.... then told him he could go get coffee also. So he was up like flash and off to get the paper and coffee. Then we sat in the quite and looked through all the ads and made a little plan of what was going to happen the next morning. (At least I did) I made breakfast and then got things ready to go over to my moms house. Then @ noon we headed over. It was nice to be with my family since my parents are part of the retail world and we will not see much of them until Christmas.

Next morning I was up by 2:55 AM. My aunt picked me and my friend Ladoni and my sister in-law Chelsea up by 3:45 AM. That way we were able to get to Khols by 4:00 AM. Which is the place that I got all my good deals. We made our way around town all morning long. I got all my christmas shopping done and the other girls also got good deals and got most of there shopping done also. It was so great to spend that time with them and enjoy all the laughing moments of the crazy people in lines and trying to get those great deals. Then around 11:00 AM we met Beth and Eli @ Red Robin and had lunch. By then I was starving due to not eating since thanksgiving dinner the night before and being up that early. We got home around 1:00 PM. My plan was to go and take a nap but Josh was finishing the lights on the house and I wanted to show off the loot that I had. (Les, you know how I am...) By then it was 2:30 and I needed to get everyone in the shower so that we could head down to Eugene. But my brothers came by to bring us a TV. My dad got two HD TV's for his house and now we have there nice big TV. Well that set up back because you can't just move TV's you need to vaccum everything and make sure that it works there. So after I got the playroom done I got a call from one of the stores that I went to said that my game wasn't in the box. I checked and it wasn't there. They said for my trouble for having to come back down they would do something for me. Nice! Well I ended up getting a new wheel for the Wii. Another great thing. When I returned home Josh finished the living room and I got everyone in the shower and ready for the trip down to Eugene.

When we arrived in Eugene Josh's mom had dinner ready for us. It was nice to sit down and have dinner and just relax. I totally wasn't good company due to getting up way to early. Then after dinner we watched polar express. The kids got hot chocolate. Which we didn't realize that it was a bad idea. Since I had been up so long I fell asleep during the movie. Miranda wouldn't go to sleep and was playing around. I went to bed after the movie and Josh stayed up with the kids. Well that didn't work. Miranda wasn't having anything with going to bed.( hot chocolate= child doesn't sleep till really late). I finally got up because Miranda was crying and got her to sleep around 10:30PM. Jonas was scared of something so we ended up having him sleep in our room on the floor. (Man that brought back memories when I was little).

We ended up going home around 1 this afternoon. And now we are watching the Duck vs. Beavers. We are winning 58 to 38! Go Ducks!

A New Scooter!

Yesterday I got a call from Jonas's principal. First thought was "Oh no what did he do".... then she went on and advised me that there was going to be an assembly tomorrow (which is today) and Jonas would be recieving a prize for being third place in a fund raiser that was held in September. It was a fitness fundraiser. How excited to hear that my Kindergardener got third place and we didn't even really try to get people to sponsor him. I had no clue that there was prizes involved. Anyway. She told me that Jonas had no clue and she wanted it to be a suprise. It was so hard not to tell him. So this afternoon I went to his school w/ my mom and my Aunt Marsha (who is in town for a fun day of shopping on Friday). Jonas had no clue that we were going to be there. So we watched as he got his reward. It was a brand new scooter. How fun. He was so nervous when they called his name and had no idea what he was suppose to do. After he got the scooter he lite up like a christmas tree. It was so cute. He began to look around the room and he saw me and my mom. He was so excited that his granny and his mommy were there. (He didn't see his aunt Marsha) Although after the assembly he ran up and gave her a huge hug. Thank you Mom and Aunt Marsha for coming and supporting him. It was really special to him.

Tomorrow we head to my parents house to have turkey dinner and then Friday is up early for a exciting shopping experience w/ my aunt, my sister in-law Chelsea, my friend Ladoni. Lets go get those good deals girl.......

Black Friday!

Who came up with this saying for the Friday after Thanksgiving. It makes me think of when Jesus died on the cross and everything went black. I don't see a day of shopping so much like when Jesus died on the cross but thought what a strange title for a day. I am one of those crazy people who love to get up before the crack of dawn. This year is going to be a lot of fun. My aunt from Washington is coming down to eat thanksgiving dinner with us and then she will brave the morning after with me. We have done it before together when I was a lot younger. I am so excited that she wanted to do it again with me. My plan is to be up and going by 4 am. Khols is open at that time and I have to get all the good deals. Silly me. But what fun.
Josh and Jonas are also looking forward to that day. They are going to start to put the lights on the house. Jonas so badly wants to climb on the roof and help but no way not yet. Josh has told him that he can help put the lights around the garage. Cute kid. So excited. I have wrote my christmas list. Man has it gotten big this year. Seems that every year we have someone to add. This year I have three new babies to add to the list. Two of them are almost one and the other will turn one in April. Can't believe that they are already turning one. WOW!
Friday evening we will be heading down to Eugene to spend time with Josh's mom and step dad. It is a tradition to go down and watch polar express with them the night after thanksgiving. It is a good movie and both kids sit thru the whole thing so it is really nice.
Well more to come after the adventure on Friday....

Maysen turned 4!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAYSEN! WE LOVE YOU!

Sick Little girl!

Sorry I have been MIA. We have had a very busy week. On wednsday evening we laid the kids down for bed and about and hour later Miranda came out with throw up all over herself. Well I tried to clean it up and I threw up. YUCK! So I spent all night with her holding the bowl while she threw up and dry heaved! Poor little girl. The next day (had no sleep the night before) I called all the kids who were suppose to be coming and told them it wasn't happing today. Miranda and I spent the rest of the day resting. Jonas was glad to just have mom home with out another kids around. Jonas went to school and just us girls got a good nap in. Miranda still didn't sleep last night and was running a fever. I called the doctor and got an appt. for this morning. Josh was home so he was able to go with her. The doctor told him that she had a virus and also a full blown ear infection in one ear and the other one was starting to go and looked bad. Poor little girl. No wonder it was taking her such a long time to get better. Wonder how long that ear infection was there. YUCK!

So that is what is happening in our world.....

Happy Halloween!

This has been a very long week. I have been very sick and on Tuesday was informed I had a major sinus infection. That explained a lot. I had no energy and I felt like my head was going to explode. Yuck! By Wed. evening I was feeling ten times better. Thursday Jonas and I headed to the pumpkin patch with his class mates. It was a blast. I got to catch up with an old friend and enjoy seeing who my son has been playing with for the last couple of months. Plus I got to see his teacher a little more and that was really nice. Jonas has a wonderful teacher. She called me today and told me out of the blue that Jonas was doing really well. He actually is a head of the class in reading. He can now sound out the word and figure out what the word is. I don't know what it is but it totally amazes me. Not that I didn't think that he could do it but now he is and wanting to learn more. Okay back to the pumpkin patch. We went to a pumpkin patch on the way to Corvallis. It was really fun. Jonas and his friends each got to pick a pumpkin to take home. Jonas wants me to cut it and bake the seeds. Then we headed in for some homemade donuts and apple juice. Yummy. While inside a little boy got stung by a bee. I actually took the bee off him and got the stinger off his head. Poor little guy. Jonas was not to sure about that. He didn't want to eat anything else sweet and thought that would keep the bees away. Silly kid. Then they got to climb on this hay mountain. It was great for the kids to get some energy. Then we headed back to the school. Jonas and I then went to get ice cream as a date. It was so nice to just spend some time with him with out anyone around.

Tonight was a blast. Jason/ Beth and Jeremy/ Chelsea came over to see the kids. And of course we had to see that way cute little man Eli. Then Josh took the kids to my parents and I headed to church. I was incharge of the Junk Food Walk. It was so much fun. The kids love to win and get to pick what ever they wanted. When it was over Jonas was ready to go out for the evening but man was I tired. Miranda wanted to go to bed and take advantage of her sleep. She loves to do that lately. Now I am sitting relaxing watching my GhostHunters Live and enjoying the quite.
Jonas/ Power Ranger Jungle Fury

Miranda/ Cutest Clown on the block
Three Kids who are going to love getting candy....
Happy Halloween to everyone.

Lazy Sundays....

I am sick! Yuck! Does anyone ever want to be sick. I don't that is for sure. I guess it is God's way of slowing me down and just taking some time for my self. On Friday night me and the kids went to Urgent Care because I truely felt like I had a ear infection. After an hour wait with two kids the doctor told me that I didn't have an ear infection nor strep throat. That was good because all week I have been with kids. She did think that I might have a sinus infection. So she gave me meds for that. The meds that she gave me wasn't covered by my insurance (only give in oregon) so I had to pay full price. Crazy. I still have a headache and my ears are still plugged. Hope things get better tomorrow.....
Jonas has his first conference this week. Josh and I are going together on Thrusday. I actually can't wait because I want to see how he is doing. I probally am going to be one of those parents that want to know every little detail.... Tonight while Jonas was doing his homework ( I know homework in Kindergarden) we went over his work from last week. He actually had some work on reading and my little boy is reading sentences! WOW! KINDERGARDEN has sure changed. But I am enjoying every moment of seeing him learn.
Miranda is doing really well. She no longer is taking her "mimi" during the day. Only during nap time and bed time. When she gets up she gives it to me and goes on with her day. She now thinks that she has to take her baby everywhere she goes. It is really cute although baby is pretty beat up. It is fun to watch her lately really play with the baby. Tonight she wanted to put baby to bed and read her a story. So sweet.
This coming week is going to be nice because Josh is only going to work @ his second job on Friday and Saturday. Yeah. That means that I will get to spend more evenings with my husband. I love that man!
Enough of the crazies...until next time....

Fall and Pumpkins!

We had a very busy weekend. Friday night me and a friend took are kids to Chucke Cheese. What a mess that turned out to be. Jonas was exhasted from being up since 6 in the morning. So the minute he saw Chucke Cheese he lost it. He wasn't near me nor was he able to find me so that made it worse. By the time that I saw him he was a mess. Didn't leave my side. Yeah fun. Miranda wanted to ride every little ride there was. So that was a blast to see her do that.
On Saturday my mom and I went shopping. It was so nice to go out and just hang out for awhile. We hit all the good stores and got great deals. I got a lot of stocking stuffers and started looking for christmas presents. So that was really nice. On Sunday we went to Lone Pine Farm. It was so much fun. Josh has never gone with us to get pumpkins so it was an adventure for the four of us. We got to ride in a carriage that was pulled by a horse. Miranda was so excited. She wanted to just look and touch all the animals at the farm. Jonas rode a cow train. It was barrells that had seats in them and pulled by a 4 wheeler. So much fun. It was like a roller coaster. So much fun. He got off and wanted to take his cousin Maysen on it next time. Josh and I are planning to go back because there was so much to do and not enough time. There is a corn maze that we will do next time. Then we went and hung out with Josh's mom and step dad and family. It was really nice to have us all together. Fun stuff. Well I better get back to the mad house.

Tonight Josh's dad and step mom are coming for the evening. And it is Sherrill's birthday. We are going to go to dinner and have a cake that I made this morning. So much fun. Can't wait to see them.
Happy Birthday Sherrill!

My mom!

It is that time of year again and in a one month I will not see my mom very much. Her and my dad both work in retail. So Black Friday is the starting to a six day work week and very long hours. So this weekend my mom and I are going shopping. I love being with my mom and it is a trip that I am looking forward to. We don't get to do it much so this will be really nice to be able to hang out together. Can't wait.
On Sunday Josh and I are taking the kids to the pumpkin patch. We are really excited about going and checking out all the pumpkins and getting some to carve for the fall. We will see how it turns out. Pictures will follow after the trip.
Until next time....

Tradition!

We are now coming to the season of the holidays. Last night I went to a womens meeting at my church. The title was Parenting with Pazzas! It was a lot of fun. Sally (the lady who spoke) talked about the importance of making memories with your children. She talked about all the wonderful things that she did with her boys (who are now married and have there own children). The different things that she did for decorating. She made sure that we all knew that it doesn't matter how much money that you do have because you can a lot with just the things that you have around the house. It was really neat to talk about the different traditions that people had. Some talked about celebrating St. Nicks day. Which is the 6th of Dec. It is a good time to get out the story about St. Nick and doing the stocking that evening. Such a fun activity. Also talked about simple gifts for families during the holidays. So much fun and we are just starting the holiday season.

My husband loves traditions. The day after Thanksgiving we go over to Josh's moms house and watch Polar Express. We have been doing this since the movie came out. Last year both of the kids were thrilled to watch the movie and sat still the entire movie with a big bowl of popcorn. Grandma even made hot chocolate for Jonas. Jonas will always remember this. During the christmas season my mom collects nativitys. She tells the story by putting the wiseman in another room until it is time for them to come see Jesus. Last year while we were there for Christmas Jonas was sitting in the living room playing with the nativity singing "Jesus Loves me." Another wonderful tradition that will stay with my children forever. These are just a few of many traditions that we do have.

I encourage this holiday season to find one new tradition that you can do with your family. What
ever it may be. This will be carried with your children forever.

PTA

Tonight is the first PTA meeting that I will be going to. I can't believe that I am starting the journy of a child in school. Jonas had his first fundraiser last friday. Which went really well. He had a lot of fun. He has school pictures today and I have PTA this evening. I feel like I am to young to have a kindergardener but really I am not. I can remember having him and just playing with him every waking moment. Now we talk about what he did in school and the different sounds that he is learning for each letter in the alphabet. It is very exciting to see him love learning and he is very good at retaining things. He must be like his dad. Josh is amazing with retaining things.

Jonas also got to attend his first sleep over. On last friday a friend who lives down the street (who has two kids the same ages that our kids are) wanted to have both kids for the evening. Josh and I were able to go to dinner and get a few needed things at Target. We then went and picked Miranda up and Jonas stayed the evening with his friend. I called the next morning and he didn't go to sleep until after midnight. I guess his friend sleeps with lights on and music and Jonas is so used to sleeping in quite and no lights. Funny kid because my friend turned off all that and he was fast asleep. I think that Jonas had a blast because he wants to go back.

On saturday Josh's brother and his wife and kids came over. Leslie and I spent the afternoon shopping at cute little shops. We ended the trip with a trip to the bank and getting some much needed goodies for the game. Josh and Nate watched the Duck game and now planning on watching it together this next weekend. The little boys played together really well. It was a nice day so they were able to get out and enjoy the sunshine. Fin and Miranda took long naps so the guys really did have a good time watching the game together. We also got to be a witness to Fin's first time clapping his hands. He is growing up so fast. Before you know it he will be on two feet running with his brother and cousins.

Well that is the update for our weekend......Until next time.. Thank you to everyone who sponsered Jonas on his first fundraiser!

What a Day......

Well after last night I didn't think anything could get worse. Well it did.... Let me first start off how last night went. Well I decided that before the kids and I went to church that we would stop and get some dinner before heading over. Well I tried rolling my window down and it didn't go down at first. You see it has been having problems for awhile and I just haven't had time to check it out. It did end up rolling down. Well I ordered the food and was driving off when I tried to roll it back up and it wouldn't go up. WHAT! Yesterday of all days it started to rain. Good ole oregon. I drove to church in a panic because I was going to be there for an hour and didn't want my seat to get all wet. Josh was still gone and what was I supose to do. Well I ask a man that was at the church to come look at it. He did and tried a few different things (mind you it is still raining at this point). It still didn't go up. We ended up putting a blanket in the door to keep the rain out. Once I was in the church I called my dad (dad always saves the day!) He told me to put the van in the garage when I got home. Then I thought about a friend of mine that worked on cars. I called his wife right away and asked for help. We ended up going there after church and he worked on it for two and half hours. Right now the window is up and needs to be fixed soon. We are almost done paying on the van so that really bites that it is doing this now. Well that was just the beginning. I got up this morning with not to much sleep to a phone call stating that one of my day care kids wasn't at her house to take him to school and I haven't heard from the dad. (he was to pay me today.) So I called his sister and she didn't know where he was. Oh no! Well it ended up that he got a flat tire this morning when coming into town. Then another family came in and said that her husband got laid off and starting as of Monday I wouldn't have him anymore (well of course until he found something else.) YUCK! What a day today has been. So now I am going to be fixing the van window and hoping that it isn't going to cost a ton of money and praying that my daycare family will be able to find a job and I will get him back. WOW! I keep thinking Lord what kind of lesson do you want me to learn. Is there something that I am doing wrong, I will change it....to much going on here.

On a better note I am watching my very cute nephew who is dressed in beaver gear. Tonight they have a game and I guess he can stay in that outfit...hahahaha! Just kidding! He is way to cute. Josh comes home today and I can't wait. I haven't heard from him yet and I am ready for him to touch down in Oregon and give me a call. It is about thirty mins when that will happen. Yeah. Soon I will be hugging him and kissing him!

Tomorrow is Jonas Fitness Fundraiser! He is so excited. My dad and my aunt are going to go and watch him. I am so excited. I hope to also start him in basketball next week. I hope he enjoys it. He really has never played basketball before so I hope he can stay and enjoy it.

Well I better get to my house full..........

Big Screen!

Jonas had his first time on the big screen at church. Jonas was asked to do a video. Our friend came over on saturday and tape Jonas. He was to make a video for the pastor about the sermon. The sermon was talking about the church. Jonas did the saying " Here is the church, Here is the stepile, Open the doors and see all the people." Our friend did it like a comerical. It is so cute and so much fun. Jonas felt like a star. He kept saying to us here it comes mom here it comes. What a cutie. When I get the video I will put it on so that you all can see it. Very proud mom here.

Today was a hard day. Josh left for a business trip and will not be back till thursday. The kids already seem like they are having a hard time. Jonas is very weepy. I just hope it is because he hasn't gotten a lot of sleep. He got off the bus today very sad. Not sure why but he said that he didn't think that the bus was going to stop for him. It was very sad. Poor little guy. Tonight he was also a little sad when we had to leave a friend of ours house. He just isn't his self. Not sure what is going on. Now Jonas and Miranda have had baths and are fast asleep. Jonas sleep well my little man tomorrow will be a better day.....

Friday Night!

Do you remember as a kid getting those wax lips and chewing them to pieces. Well I was in the store the other day and found them. So of course since I love having them I bought them for my kids. Well needless to say this was as much as they got out of them. Jonas put his down right away and Miranda spit hers out. Still makes a cute picture.

Tonight we had dinner at Pizza King with some friends and thier kids. It is a pizza place that is a kids dream. It has lots of games, playground, and face painting on Friday nights. Usually Jonas is pretty scared of the clown that does the face painting but he did great. This is Jonas as batmann and Zack as the lizardman. Zack and Jonas are the same age and we only live a couple of houses down from them. Jonas and Zack love playing together and have look forward to this night for awhile. They had a blast. Miranda and Hannah just played around us the whole evening. It was a great evening of having great food, great conversation and getting to know friends better.

Miranda is a butterfly. Hannah was to scared of the clown to get that close (I would be too.) Well that is enought for this evening.... Have a great night see you in the funny pages tomorrow....

New Mom's Club!

Today was the first day of our new mom's club. It is held at our church every thursday. It was a blast. It gives me time to be with other moms and know that I am not the only one going through this craziness. Today we just got to know each other. We also made apple duplings. They look so good. The whole theme today was apple. All the wonderful treats were made from apple in some form. It was great. They also have great people taking care of the children. Jonas and Miranda both got to make masks and other wonderful activities. They had a blast. It was so wonderful and I can't wait until next week to do it all over again.
Last night was the first time we actually had to come up with a punishment for Jonas. Other then the norm of going to time out. Jonas is now getting old enough that he has to learn another way in order to know that we mean business and it is not okay. The other night Jonas went into our room and earsed all of Josh memory card (playstation). Josh went in and found that some of it was missing. So Josh went to Jonas and asked him about it. Jonas said that he had no clue, then later admitted that he did do it. Not really sure how he did it but this hasn't been the first time. Because Jonas didn't tell the truth the first time Josh wanted to have punishment for him. Josh asked him what it should be and Jonas couldn't come up with anything. Then I said that he wasn't able to watch TV for all of Thursday. Which is a big deal because Jonas loves to watch power rangers in the evening. Jonas was very sad but he knew that he did something that wasn't okay and had to follow mommy and daddy. Jonas is doing really well. Everytime he walks into a room with the TV on he walks away. WOW! We are raising a wonderful little boy! I hope this contiunes.
Until later....

To Early!

GoodMorning! Miranda has woken up around 5:30 this morning. She is now coughing so it is hard for her to sleep. Although mommy would have liked a little more sleep. It is good because now I can get some stuff done around the house before church and the heat. It is supose to be really hot today like in the 90's. Yuck. I thought that we were going into fall. Yeah right.
On friday Jonas came home with homework. Can you believe in Kindergarden they have homework. Crazy. It isn't anything hard but still. I think it is funny. Jonas is doing really good. He is learning what each letter in the Alphabet sounds like. He has a little saying to go with each one. If you see him you should ask him. Very impressive.
Well I better start getting somethings done before I have to start getting ready for church. Going to need a large coffee this morning...

Bowling Fun!

Last night was the kick off for Caravans. It is a program at our church for the children during the school year. I teach the benson buddies which is the four and five year olds. It is a lot of fun and they are full of energy. Anyway. We went bowling for this kick off. Jonas loves to bowl and it is a lot of fun to watch him. Now on the lane that he was on there probally is a dent from where the ball hit everytime. He is a funny kid. All the kids did really well and enjoyed the fun.
Here are a few pictures from the evening...

This is my friend April who's mom passed away a few weeks back. She is going to love me that I put this picture on here but I think it is a funny picture. The coolest thing happen to her yesterday. Her daughter is staying with her dad during this hard time. She was cleaning somethings up and found a journal that her grandma was writing in. Inside it had a little letter to each daughter. I thought was amazing. It is like God was giving the girls a little piece of there mom to comfort them.

Today I also got to watch Eli again. He is such a sweet little man. I love him. I am so lucky that I get to spend some time with him each week. In this picture I think he looks a lot like my brother. What a cutie! One last picture for the evening. Isn't she beautiful. Sissy isn't feeling the greatest today. I can tell that school has started because we all have snotty noses again. Yuck. No fun. I just hope that she sleeps well tonight. Sleep tight my little one....

Bus Ride Home....

Yesterday was Jonas first trip on the bus. The day before I spoke to the bus driver to see how it all works for Kindergardeners and she advised me that they would pick him up @ noon at our house and then he would be dropped off in front of our house @ 3:30 ish. Yesterday Jonas got to take the bus home. He runs off bus really excited the first thing that he told me was " Mom I didn't have to wear a seat belt on the bus." Funny kid. He loves his teacher and loves going to school. This afternoon Jonas and another daycare child got on the bus for school and get to ride it home. How fun.

Jonas is doing really well in school and I really like his teacher. Mrs. Hart always greets him with a smile and says that he is doing really well. Man kindergarden is a lot different then when I was in school. They don't just play the day away and learn thier ABC's. Jonas has a special seat and the day is very planed out for them. When I walked into his classroom I knew it was the right place for him. The other day I asked Jonas if he made any new friends and he said yes. I then asked him what there name was (expecting him to say a boys name) and he said Sarah. Then he said "I was thinking mom that she is my girlfriend." He makes me laugh he is just in kindergarden. Silly kid.

This picture makes me laugh. I walked into the playroom and Jonas and Miranda were watching cartoons. They were sitting just like this. Miranda must really love her brother. All day she has used him as a pillow. This little girl is really tired. Jonas is so funny when taking pictures. He thinks that he has to be funny or do some kind of look.
Anyway. Enough for today.... Tomorrow is another day in life of Jonas and Miranda.....

First Day of Kindergarden!

Well today I took my baby to his first day of kindergarden. Jonas was very excited all day long. Jonas is in afternoon kindergarden so that means he doesn't go until 12:15 PM. So of course all morning long I got the "mom is it time yet." "No Jonas not until after lunch." He was so cute. When we got the school Jonas ran up to his teacher and said "Hi Mrs. Hart, I am glad to see you again." Her response was " I am so glad to see you again Jonas." He found his name on the board and put that I would be picking him up. He then also found his table where he would be sitting. I can't believe that he was so comfortable and this was no big deal to him. He was so excited.
So now I wait for my little boy to come home from school. More to come of Jonas kindergarden experience.....
It was also Jihanna's First day of Preschool. She is like another child to me. I call her my third child although I didn't have to be pregnant with her....hehehehehe.

Enough for this afternoon. I will tell you how his day went later....

My Husband is home......

Josh return safe and sound this evening. After two days of being in the wilderness he has come home. He went back packing with his dad to Strawberry Mountain. He came home very dirty but with some really nice pictures of his adventure. From what I hear he almost fell off a bridge, he says he was trying to get a better look at the waterfall. Funny. I think that he had a blast. He already talked about going at least two times next summer. He really wants to take Jonas on his own back packing trip. Not to sure about that one. He is going to have to promise a lot for me to let him to do that. :) I am really glad to have him back. I love you Joshua!
Tonight at dinner Jonas said the sweetest thing. He said " mom when I go to Kindergarden I will remember you and when I get really old I will remember you too mom." " I will always remember you mom." Not really sure where that all came from but I have been a little weepy this weekend. (has to do with not a lot of sleep) My little boy is no longer little and he will be entering the world of school. So strange because it seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. Sappy mom here!
Off to bed I go.... Really tired after not sleeping very well with out Josh.
Jonas, I thank Jesus everyday for you. You are very special to me and I am so lucky that God thought I would be the best mom for you.....

Lonely!

Today is the first of two nights with out Josh. He is backpacking with his dad. I am sure they sitting under the stars right now just talking away. When Josh gets around his dad they can talk forever. I hope he does some resting out there because when he gets home I would like a little break. I really hope he is having a good time. I am not sure he even slept last night because he was so excited. What a cutie. I sure do love him but I did what any wife would do. I gave him the low down on you know... don't get hurt....make sure that you don't do something stupid....I want a husband to come home.
Anyway.
Today was the first day that I got to watch Eli. He is so cute and a lot of fun. He is now rolling from his tummy to his back. He laughs a lot and both of his cousins were totally in love with him. Jonas just played and played with him. He then wanted to go outside and he turned to me and said "mom can you babysit Eli while I go outside." he was so cute.

Today we found out that Jonas is in afternoon Kindergarden. Yuck! Totally messing my whole day up. Not sure what I am supose to do now. I have to many kids to make that work. I guess tomorrow is spent figuring out how to get my son to and from school. I think I have a plan but we will see. So monday my baby starts school. Until then....

Nice Weekend!

Ducks won 44 to 10. It was the greatest game. So much fun. There is nothing like being in the stadium and watching the game. Everyone is so pumped and you are in the middle of it. What a feeling. It was so much fun hanging out with friends and Josh. After the game we headed for Shari's. After a game like that you can't just go home and sleep. We were exhasted but you still were on a high. It was so much fun. Then back to Josh's mom house.

This is the picture that we returned to. Miranda must have crawled into bed with Jonas. She usually crawls into bed with us so it was a nice thing to see that she crawled in w/ comfort. What cute kids I have.
On Sunday morning after we got up we headed to the farm. Jonas and Miranda both feed goats. They loved every moment of that. The farm has a lot of different things that kids can do. They have goats, horses, lamas, and lots of room to run. They also have a nice playground that at the end of the trip Jonas and Miranda played on. Later when we returned Josh's brother Nate and his wife Leslie and their children Maysen and Griffin came over. Jonas and Mason love to play together and now that Miranda is older she loves it too. Griffin is getting really big. He is crawling everywhere and loves to explore your face. He just looks and looks. What a cute little boy. I wasn't feeling very well due to lack of sleep so I went in to check on Miranda who was taking a nap and laid down. Bad decision because I ended up falling asleep. I didn't mean to but it happen. When I got up everyone had taken off. I felt horable for not spending time with them. Sorry Nate and Leslie and Jen for not hanging out more. I promise next time I will be the life of the party.... hehehe.

More pictures from the farm...
Jonas is King of the world here!

Well that was a weekend. Today Jonas is going on a date (3 connect a date) w/ Granny. He is so excited.
