New Day!

Tomorrow is my birthday. I am turning the big 28! Whoo hoo is how I am feeling today. I got a call from my mom today wondering what I wanted to do for my birthday. I think I should say forget it all together. Wouldn't that be nice. Then my daddy called and talked to me about my grandmother. He wanted to make sure that Josh and I were ready if something happen to her. My mom said that she talked to her yesterday and she had dropped the phone at least eight times and she wrote my aunt some checks dated 1979 and 1980. I guess she is going. Not really wanting to grasp that right now. She is my last living grandparent. I am the oldest out of nine gradchildren and the only girl. My grandfather died when I was a senior in highschool. My grandmother is a very strong women. She was told I think about two years ago that she wouldn't have much longer to live and here she has lived for two years. I guess it is hard because you just want everyone to live forever and I know that is a part of life to not. We all need to go home and be with Jesus. How exciting is that. To actually meet him and hug him and say thank you for all that he has done for me. But to not have that person right around the corner is hard. It is comforting to know that someday I will again see her in Heaven and that she is going to be in a better place where she is not hurting anymore. But for now it is sad. It makes me just want to cry! I guess I am very greatful that she was able to be with Josh and I during Miranda birth. She also got to spend time with Jonas while this was all taking place. I am very lucky that she is my grandmother. Thank you Jesus for lettting my grandmother be in my life for 28 years. Grandma I know you are going to a better place with out pain. I love you with all my heart!

Tomorrow will just be another day of me getting older.......

Camping trip!

Well we are back from a very nice weekend. On Thrusday Josh and I and the kids headed out to the Alsea to do some camping. We got started around 2:00 PM. It is only and hour away I found out so we actually got there right on time. Jonas and Miranda slept the whole way there so it was really nice to just get to visit with Josh the whole time. We got to camp and I wasn't feeling the greatest. It could have been that we had pizza for lunch and then got a coffee right before leaving. Bad combo. So Josh actually set up camp by himself so that I could run back and forth to the bathroom. YUCK! After we got everything set up we just relaxed with friends. Our really good friends the Huffmans showed up shortly after we did so that was really nice. Jonas was so excited to play with there boys. Plus they have teenage girls who just love Miranda.

Friday we took off after breakfast and went to Waldport to the beach. We spent like four hours on the beach. Josh and Jonas and Miranda went down towards the water to make sandcastles and I took a nice nap on the beach. It was beautiful and really warm on the beach. We actually all got a little sunburned. Kissed by the sun. Then we headed back to the campsite and had a hot dog feed. The kids slept wonderful all weekend except for Friday nite a little boy in the tent next to us was getting some teeth so he screamed for a little while until his mommy took him to the car. I felt so bad. Miranda woke up after and came to bed with us.

Saturday we just played at the campsite. We went down to the river and let the kids play in the water and I floated with the Huffman kids down the river to the dead man's rapid. It was really nice to just hang out with them. Then in the evening we got to watch Herby the orginal movie. We usually watch a movie on Saturday evening, kind of like a drive in. Fun. Jonas loved the movie.

Sunday we had a big potluck after we had some devotions from the pastor of our church. It was really nice. Then we pack up all our stuff and headed home. We didn't get home until 4:00 which is later then we normally get home. I guess we were just having to much fun.

When we got home I called my mom and dad to let them know we were home and everyone was good. No booboo's! Mom was at my brothers getting somethings done for the wedding. She called back later to say that Grandma was not doing very well and she fell about a half hour ago, this is my mom's mom and she has cancer. Mom and my aunt Jennifer went down the week before to set her up with some care because it was getting really hard for her to be home alone. My aunt Cara lives close to my grandmother but it is very hard for her since she has four boys. One just graduated from high school but the rest are still in high school. My grandmother is a very special women. She had a baby in the fifties the sixties and the seventies. Then me and my brothers were all born in the eighties. I can remember her and papa coming to visit us and taking us back to California and spending the week with her. She came only a month after my papa passed away to my graduation and made it for Josh and I getting married. Three weeks after Jonas was born we made it down there to visit. When Miranda was born she was able to be in the room with us. That was very special because Grandma had never been there for a birth. She was nervous at first but she made it through with flying colors. She was so impressed. I was so glad that she was there with my through a very special time in our lives.

I LOVE GRANDMA!

Enough for today I will update you with everything that is going on. Until then.....

Belated Birthdays....

Last Friday was my sister in-law birthday and I didn't blog her a birthday wish. So here it is HAPPY BIRTHDAY LESLIE! I hope you had a wonderful day with Nate and enjoyed the time with just the two of you. I love you!

On Saturday was my little brothers birthday. We had a shower for Chelsea and then a birthday party in the evening with Jeremy's soon to be In-laws. The Barnes are wonderful people. They love my children and treat us like family from the start of Jeremy's and Chelsea's relationship. It was a wonderful day. So I wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE BRO! I love you and hope you had a wonderful day.

Tomorrow Josh and I and the kids are taking off to go camping for four days. We are really excited because besides Jeremy wedding and time we will take of for it this is the only vacation that we are taking. We are going over to the Alsea. Which is only like two hours away. I can't wait. Time away from all the everyday stuff and into the wildnerness to just sit and relax. Yeah. This trip is a trip that we take every year and have since Miranda was three months old. We go with our church. It is really nice because we have great friends with kids who love to play with ours plus most of the cooking is done for us. We don't have to do much work while we are there so it is really a vacation. Anyway.

So we are off for a adventure the four of us.

Softball Nite!

Josh has been playing softball with our church for a couple of years and this is the year that I haven't gone very much. This was my first game and he has been playing for a month. It is really hard because most of his games are late at night so with two kids that is a no go. His latest game is usually starts around eight. To late for us. So last night the game was early and he wanted us to go. It was really fun. Miranda just played around me and Jonas went to the play ground with a friend of mine. So it was perfect. Josh plays third base. Last night was a good game Josh's team kicked butt. So it was fun to watch the team do well. They have had a really good year. Our church has two teams this year because we have such a good turn out.
Here are some pictures from the night.

This is Miranda during the game. She was (pretend) talking to Granny.

This is Jonas and Levi after getting dirty in the sand and playing really hard in the park.

This is a father daughter moment at the baseball field.

Thanks to Uncle Jason and Aunt Beth our son is Batman! Jonas loves his birthday present.

That is it for tonight. I have a huge mess to clean up from Miranda so off I go.

Cont. of Jonas Birthday!

Here are some more pictures that Ladoni gave me today of the party. They had some really good pictures of the slide. So much fun...

This tells you just how much fun we did have. Wish that more of you could have been there. My little boy is now fast asleep and he has informed us today that he is tired because of his party. He is still opening all those wonderful gifts and may be for a couple of days. Mom and Dad can only open a few at a time. Thank again to my sister in-law Chelsea for the wonderful cake and Beth for helping with all the decorations. Thanks to Leslie and Bobbie for the watermelon and veggie tray and also my mom for the grape salad that was a big hit. By the way I want the recipe. Yummy!

Off to bed I go. Tomorrow is a new day and I have to get back to normal things. Nite!

Happy 5th Birthday Jonas

Today was Jonas birthday. We had a great day filled with lots and lots of sunshine. In the morning we woke Jonas up to take him to breakfast. We went to The Original Breakfast, that way Jonas was able to get Mickey Mouse pancakes. He loved it plus Grandpa came with us because he was off due to it being Jonas birthday. Then after breakfast we headed to order balloons and then back home to finish all the packing and making sure that everything was done. Josh and my brother Jason went to get the waterslide and Josh had a few other things that I needed him to do. It was perfect because then I was able to get some things done at home. When he returned we finished packing the van and off we went to Connie and Bruce house to have our Beach Party themed birthday party. They have a big pool and a huge back yard to play in. It worked out perfect for the party. My sister in-law Beth and Jason helped with the set up and my other sister in-law Chelsea made the cake. It was so awesome. I really think that she needs to do it for money. We had a really nice turn out and lots of food and gifts for Jonas. He made out like a bandit. Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed the sunshine and water with us.
Here are some pictures from the day.

That is it for tonight... I am tired and need to get some beauty sleep tonight...

Happy 4th!

Happy fourth of July! We had a wonderful 4th. Jonas and Grandpa went in the morning to get us some fireworks. Which Jonas needed to make sure that Grandpa knew that he needed to work really hard so that he could make lots of money then they could go to Target together. He has it all figured out. Then later in the evening we went over to my parents house to have a BBQ and do the fireworks that they got earlier that day. Josh had to work so off he went. Then after being there for 1/2 hour I got a call saying that he was coming home and didn't have to work. It was to slow and no deliveries. Yeah! I was already really sad that he wasn't able to be there with us. Now he was able to send the whole time with us.
We were able to spend time with my parents, my brother Jason and his wife Beth and Eli, my brother Jeremy and my soon to be sister in-law Chelsea, her family was in from Prineville so they got to join us for the evening. I got Eli to laugh and smile when I would put him up in the air. That little man is so cute. He just smiled from ear to ear. But he also can be very serious. He cracks me up. It was so much fun spending time with all of my family. Jonas and Miranda enjoyed the fireworks while Eli slept through most of it. The dogs however didn't do as well as the kids. My parents have a new puppy his name is Waldow and my brother has a dog named Zito that is the same age as Miranda. He was born a few weeks before her. Both dogs hid most of the time, however Zito did want to see what was going on. We ended the evening with fireworks from both of the uncles trying to blow up my parents backyard. (well not really but who knows with those piro maniacs.)

Thats all for tonight. Wish more of you could have been there with us. It was a lot of fun just hanging out in my parents backyard. The kids enjoyed being there and spending time with there aunties and uncles, granny and of course grandpa.

Special Time with Grandpa!

Last night I got a call from my dad. He wanted to know if he could take Jonas and Miranda to the Lumberjack Breakfast this morning. It is a big thing in Albany. This year they brought back the Timber Carnival which hasn't been here in like ten years. It is really cool because they have loggers walking on logs, cutting the log in half and all sorts of different things. Anyway. My dad came this morning @ around 8:00 am and picked up the kids. They were just getting up and I told Miranda that if she got dressed she could go see Grandpa. She got dressed in a hurry and went and laid on Grandpa's lap. She just loves him so much. Another man that has a special place in his heart for my daughter. Anytime that you talk about him her little face just lights up. She would love to just snuggle with Grandpa all day long if she got to. The three took off and went by and picked Aunt Beth, Uncle Jason, Eli and Zito. They all went to the breakfast. My dad said that the kids did really well and ate a lot. After the breakfast they went and saw Granny. Jonas and Miranda got to get the Baby Bear Baby Bear what do you see? and Polar Bear Polar Bear what do you hear? Very good books. Then they came home. My brother later called to let me know that Jonas went into the potty at the park and came out and said "I will never go in there again". Mind you he had his pants down around his ankles. Silly kid. Jason was a good uncle because he quickly ate his breakfast so that he could play with his neice and nephew in the park. The kids have a blast with my dad and my dad loves being with them. He is always coming by on his days off to see the kids. Sometimes he just comes over to take Jonas out to get a special toy or something like that. It is so cute. My mom and dad at Christmas time came and took the kids to Build a Bear in Eugene to make Rudolph and his girlfriend. It was so cute and fun for the kids. They loved it. Well I guess you all can see that I have the best parents. I will do another blog of my mom. She is a very special person in my life and she has been there for me all my life. She has been through a lot in her life and I am glad that she was able to be there for my wedding and both of our kids births. I love you mom and dad!
