Lazy Sundays....
Jonas has his first conference this week. Josh and I are going together on Thrusday. I actually can't wait because I want to see how he is doing. I probally am going to be one of those parents that want to know every little detail.... Tonight while Jonas was doing his homework ( I know homework in Kindergarden) we went over his work from last week. He actually had some work on reading and my little boy is reading sentences! WOW! KINDERGARDEN has sure changed. But I am enjoying every moment of seeing him learn.
Miranda is doing really well. She no longer is taking her "mimi" during the day. Only during nap time and bed time. When she gets up she gives it to me and goes on with her day. She now thinks that she has to take her baby everywhere she goes. It is really cute although baby is pretty beat up. It is fun to watch her lately really play with the baby. Tonight she wanted to put baby to bed and read her a story. So sweet.
This coming week is going to be nice because Josh is only going to work @ his second job on Friday and Saturday. Yeah. That means that I will get to spend more evenings with my husband. I love that man!
Enough of the crazies...until next time....

Fall and Pumpkins!
Tonight Josh's dad and step mom are coming for the evening. And it is Sherrill's birthday. We are going to go to dinner and have a cake that I made this morning. So much fun. Can't wait to see them.
Happy Birthday Sherrill!

My mom!
It is that time of year again and in a one month I will not see my mom very much. Her and my dad both work in retail. So Black Friday is the starting to a six day work week and very long hours. So this weekend my mom and I are going shopping. I love being with my mom and it is a trip that I am looking forward to. We don't get to do it much so this will be really nice to be able to hang out together. Can't wait.
On Sunday Josh and I are taking the kids to the pumpkin patch. We are really excited about going and checking out all the pumpkins and getting some to carve for the fall. We will see how it turns out. Pictures will follow after the trip.
Until next time....

Tradition!
We are now coming to the season of the holidays. Last night I went to a womens meeting at my church. The title was Parenting with Pazzas! It was a lot of fun. Sally (the lady who spoke) talked about the importance of making memories with your children. She talked about all the wonderful things that she did with her boys (who are now married and have there own children). The different things that she did for decorating. She made sure that we all knew that it doesn't matter how much money that you do have because you can a lot with just the things that you have around the house. It was really neat to talk about the different traditions that people had. Some talked about celebrating St. Nicks day. Which is the 6th of Dec. It is a good time to get out the story about St. Nick and doing the stocking that evening. Such a fun activity. Also talked about simple gifts for families during the holidays. So much fun and we are just starting the holiday season.
My husband loves traditions. The day after Thanksgiving we go over to Josh's moms house and watch Polar Express. We have been doing this since the movie came out. Last year both of the kids were thrilled to watch the movie and sat still the entire movie with a big bowl of popcorn. Grandma even made hot chocolate for Jonas. Jonas will always remember this. During the christmas season my mom collects nativitys. She tells the story by putting the wiseman in another room until it is time for them to come see Jesus. Last year while we were there for Christmas Jonas was sitting in the living room playing with the nativity singing "Jesus Loves me." Another wonderful tradition that will stay with my children forever. These are just a few of many traditions that we do have.
I encourage this holiday season to find one new tradition that you can do with your family. What
ever it may be. This will be carried with your children forever.
